The victims, identified as Brittney Cockrell, 36, and Michael Hayter, 41, both from Westbrook, were determined by the state medical examiner’s office to have died from gunshot wounds. Fortunately, their children were unharmed during the ordeal.

Despite ongoing investigations, authorities have not found any apparent connection between Lagrange and the victims. Lagrange is currently being held at the Cumberland County Jail, with his legal representation status remaining unclear.
