A teenager from Baltimore was apprehended in connection with a tragic mass shooting that occurred during a block party on July 2, resulting in two fatalities and 28 injuries. The individual was remanded without bail on Monday.

The Baltimore Police Department released a statement regarding the arrest last Friday, stating that the male teenager was taken into custody by members of the Homicide and SWAT team at his residence around 7 a.m. on July 7 following the execution of a search warrant.

Upon being transported to Central Booking, the 17-year-old faced charges including possession of a firearm as a minor, possession of an assault weapon, reckless endangerment, and possession of a handgun in a vehicle.

FOX 45 in Baltimore reported that the teenager was identified in a viral video allegedly removing a gun-shaped item from his backpack, leading to his arrest.
